Getting Started with Mobile
Check if you have a compatible device. Minimal set up is required to use your mobile BuckID. Most users can begin using their mobile BuckID on their device in minutes.

Adding Your Mobile BuckID
Apple Wallet Users
- Confirm that you have the latest version of the Ohio State app on your device, update or install it from the App Store
- Open the Ohio State App, confirm you are logged in, and go to the For You -> Digital BuckID section
- Scroll to the Mobile Wallet section and click on Ready to Provision
- Read the provided information and then click Add to Apple Wallet
- Click Open App Clipp
- Click Get Started
- Sign in with your Ohio State Name.#
- Click the Add to Apple Wallet button
- Follow the on-screen prompts, including accepting the mobile terms and conditions
- Wait for confirmation that your card has been added
Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet Users
- Confirm that you have the latest version of the Ohio State app on your device, update or install it from the Google Play Store
- Open the Ohio State App, confirm you are logged in, and go to the For You -> Digital BuckID section
- Scroll to the Mobile Wallet section and click on Ready to Provision
- Complete the outlined steps to add the Transact eAccounts app to your device
- Sign in to the Transact eAccounts App with your Ohio State Name.#
- Select your digital card within the app
- Follow the on-screen prompts, including accepting the mobile terms and conditions
- Wait for confirmation that your card has been added
Using Your Mobile BuckID On and Around Campus
Apple Users
Hold your iPhone or Apple Watch near a contactless reader - no need to unlock your device if Express Mode is enabled.
Android Users
Enable NFC on your phone in your settings menu. You do not need to unlock your phone, but the screen may need to be awake to use your mobile BuckID at the reader.
