Contractor and Guest Badge Process
Contractors and guests requiring a BuckID must be submitted and approved by an authorized university representative before they can be badged by BuckID. This typically involves going through the OCIO guest account creation process found at my.osu.edu. If you are a contractor or guest and require a guest or contractor BuckID, you should reach out to your primary point of contact at the university to begin the process.
If you have already received an approval email notifying you that your record has been created and that you are now approved to receive a BuckID, you can find information on scheduling your appointment online.
Please note that you will be required to show a government issued photo ID in order to receive a BuckID. There is also a $5 charge to receive your first guest or contractor BuckID, and a $20 charge to replace a lost BuckID.
If a department elects to pay for the contractor or guest badge, they must submit a Non-Catalog requistion through WorkDay to BuckID Card Services, which must be fully approved in WorkDay prior to the contractor or guest scheduling an appointment to be badged.
If a contractor or guest arrives without proper ID, do not have an appointment, or have not been approved through the correct process, BuckID staff will be unable to assist them.
