Basic Digital BuckID in the Ohio State App

All currently enrolled students and active employees can access a basic digital version of their BuckID in the Ohio State App on iOS and Android devices. You must be signed in through the "About You" section of the app for the digital BuckID to be available.

You can use the digital BuckID for situations where an ID must be shown to confirm your identity and/or your student or employee status (i.e. receiving a student discount or showing a BuckID before completing a proctored exam).

The basic digital BuckID found in the Ohio State App cannot be used for any transactions or activities that require the card to be swiped. This means it cannot be used for access, purchases or card-based attendance. Customers must provision the full mobile BuckID to their digital wallet or obtain a physical BuckID card to complete transactions.
